MJQ Plays “Rockin’ in Rhythm”
When I was younger I loved Connie Kay’s drumming. I spent a lot of hours trying to copy his beat and tasteful ensemble playing. It’s been a while but lately I’ve been getting back into his playing. Perhaps because I feel like I sometimes overplay? Regardless of the the reason I’ve been enjoying checking out some MJQ over the past few months. Here’s a little something I came across on a recent Youtube binge:
